Description
[Mixed weave] Mixed weave is a weaving technique in which two or more different types of yarns are used for the warp and weft. Mixed weaving of natural fibers, such as cotton and silk* and cotton and wool, has been widely used since ancient times. [Yarn dyed yarn is used]. Kakishibu (persimmon tannin) and sumi ink are used to dye the threads and weave them together to make this fabric. Kakishibu dyeing and sumi-zome dyeing are time-consuming processes in which each thread is soaked in dye several times. The finished product takes longer, but the time and effort required results in a warm and rare product. By interweaving persimmon tannin with sumi and indigo yarns, a fabric with a new texture is created. The persimmon tannin turns into a deeper color as the years go by, and the more you use indigo, the more it tastes good. Please enjoy the changes woven by both. [Product Features] The fabric is finished simply in order to make the most of its original characteristics. The natural appearance of the warp and weft threads gives a sense of the owner's care and attention to detail. The size can be adjusted to fit books of different thicknesses. The backing fabric is unified in black. *This is a paperback book size. [Colors] * #1: The fabric uses persimmon tannin for the warp and persimmon tannin for the weft. * #2: The fabric uses persimmon tannin for the warp and sumi ink for the weft. * #6 : We use a fabric with persimmon tannin for the warp and indigo for the weft. * #7 : The fabric is made with Indigo threads in the warp and Sumi threads in the weft. |

*The fabric used for this product is naturally dyed, so the color may fade.
Due to the nature of the dye, when wet with water or sweat, or when rubbed strongly, the color may migrate to other items, so please avoid leaving the item wet. *We recommend that you hand-wash each item separately when washing. *The left side edge where the loop is attached is cut at a slight angle to make it easier to fold over and tuck in. |
