Description
| [The M59 Field Parka, the predecessor of the M90 Cold Weather Parka, had excellent cold-weather protection but was quite heavy with a removable acrylic liner. The M90 Parker was the successor to the M59 Field Coat and was designed to be lightweight by changing the shell and liner to synthetic fibers, etc. Several advance production types were deployed to troops from 1989, and were officially adopted in 1990. The first production type included a hooded type, which is generally referred to as the early type. The later type was changed to a type that can be stored in the collar because it obstructs rearward vision when the hood is not used. It is lightweight, has very high heat retention properties, and is the highest quality outerwear that can cope with the harsh winters in Northern Europe. Our products use "Sorona®", a high-performance polyester made by DuPont of the U.S., for the inner lining. Sorona® polymer is as light and warm as down, has excellent moisture retention properties, and has high compressibility and recovery properties that keep the inside of the garment from becoming stuffy even in humid environments.
