The fabric is made with starch glue in the manufacturing process, so it looks crispy at first, but after rinsing with warm water several times, the glue is removed and the fabric becomes soft and fluffy. Kishu Binchotan is a top brand using Kishu's specialty white charcoal, which has been passed down from generation to generation, and is made using a traditional, unique manufacturing process. Kayagofu Kitchen Cloth made of rayon yarn is 1.3 times more absorbent than cotton, and is resistant to oil stains, removing them with a quick wipe. 紀州備長炭を使用し、日本で唯一残っている蚊帳(かや)産地奈良県で時間をかけて丁寧に織られた蚊帳生地の布巾。
蚊帳を作る工場の女工さんたちが、不良生地や裁断の残りの余り生地をもったいないと何枚か合わせて縫製し、自分たちのために作り始めた事が誕生のきっかけといわれています。
生地の製造過程上で澱粉糊を使用するため、最初はパリッとした見た目ですがぬるま湯で数回濯いでいただきますと糊が取れ、ふんわりとした風合いになります。
紀州備長炭は昔ながらの独自製法にこだわり、受け継がれてきた紀州特産の白炭を使った最高峰ブランドです。
レーヨン糸でできた「かや生地ふきん」は、綿の 1.3 倍と吸水性に優れ、油汚れにも強く、サっと拭くだけで油汚れを取ってくれます。また、かや生地独特の目の粗い織り方を重ねたものの為、通気性にも優れ速乾性も優れているため、衛生的にご使用いただけます。
