| We have reproduced the sunburst paint of high-end guitars as closely as possible. This ballpoint pen looks like a musical instrument, with urethane paint sprayed on natural wood with an airbrush. Each piece is painted carefully and painstakingly. The beautiful gradation-like body paint looks as if the grain of the wood can be seen through it. Urethane clear paint is airbrushed onto natural wood to express vivid colors, luster, and smooth texture. [How did sunburst paint come about?] Sunburst paint on guitars is what is called a blurring effect. The effect is to give continuity to the body color. This paint is derived from stringed instruments essential to classical music, such as the violin, and has become a synonym for high-end guitars. ＜サンバースト塗装が生まれた経緯について＞
ギターにおけるサンバースト塗装は、いわゆるぼかし効果のことです。ボディカラーの連続性を持たせる効果があります。
この塗装はバイオリンなどのクラシック音楽に不可欠な弦楽器に由来としていることから、高級ギターのいわば代名詞となりました。
現在でもギブソンやフェンダー等の楽器メーカーも高級感溢れるサンバースト塗装を好んで採用しています。

非常に硬く目が詰まっているため、絹のような艶があり、傷も付きにくく耐久性に優れる。
経年変化で深みのある美しい飴色に変化する。
稀に、波状の杢（縮杢）や鳥眼杢（バーズアイ）があらわれあ珍重される。
