* Edo Fu-ring Shinohara Fu-ring Honpo x Kaya *
Each piece of glass is blown and molded, and painted by hand from the inside. The kizaki-zaki (a kind of "kizaki-zaki") at the ringing mouth is a device to improve the tone.

This wind bell has a design of a lion dance to pray for a good harvest and to exorcise diseases and demons.

A Japanese summer tradition - Edo Fu-ring
In the mid-Edo period, glass wind chimes were introduced to Edo by beadlo makers from Nagasaki. At that time, glass products were extremely valuable. Later, wholesalers in Edo mastered the technique, and glass wind-bells became popular among common people throughout Edo.

Shinohara Fu-ring Honpo, founded in 1914, named this product "Edo Fu-ring" based on literature. This product is made one by one by hand at the same workshop.

*This product is handmade by craftsmen. Therefore, the shape and color may vary slightly. Please understand in advance.
