It meets the safety standards set forth in the Food Sanitation Law by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, and is manufactured under high quality standards at a factory approved for JIS labeling. *Although stronger than ordinary porcelain, it may crack if dropped from a high place or hit strongly. *Microwave ovens and ovens can be used, but not over an open flame.
