It is gold color, but as you use it, you can enjoy its color change as it ages. The refill is Pilot's Switch 0.7, and by pulling out the refill at the tip, it is possible to replace the lead. Many metal accessories are difficult to care for because of their dull color and rusting. At Metal Studio Art's, only the surfaces of brass and bronze accessories are dyed black by sulfurizing them with chemicals.
