A portion of the proceeds from the sales of the [Endangered Species] series are donated to IUCN-J (International Union for Conservation of Nature - Japan) to support their conservation activities in order to protect endangered species that may one day disappear. This sticker is made of banana paper. Banana paper is a fair trade paper made from banana fiber taken from banana stems that are usually discarded in Zambia, Africa. By using banana paper, various sustainability activities can be carried out, such as protecting wildlife and forests, solving poverty in Zambia, supporting education, and making effective use of waste. Banana paper is connected to all 17 goals of the SDGs. 雑貨デザイナー×絵本作家Shinzi katoh(シンジカトウ)が絶滅危惧種の動物たちを描いたバナナペーパー素材のフレークシールです。
「絶滅危惧種」シリーズは、いつかいなくなってしまうかもしれない絶滅危惧種を守るため、売上の一部はIUCN-J(国際自然保護連合会日本委員会)に寄付され、保護活動支援に役立てられています。
このシールは「バナナペーパー」を使用しています。バナナペーパーは、アフリカのザンビアで通常廃棄されるバナナ茎から取った「バナナ繊維」を使用したフェアトレード紙です。バナナペーパーを使用することで、野生動物や森林保護、ザンビアの貧困の解決、教育の支援、廃棄物の有効活用など、様々なサステナビリティ活動が行えます。
バナナペーパーはSDGsの17目標すべてにつながっています。
