Contains a total of 96 sheets of letterheads in 30 traditional patterns of Kyoto [mica Karacho]!

Founded in 1624, Unmo Karacho is the successor to the Karakami shop that has been in business for about 400 years. [The patterns on karakami are carefully hand-rubbed one by one, and are imbued with thoughts of peace and good fortune. The traditional patterns, which have been handed down in Kyoto, have been made into a luxurious letter book under the supervision of Akihiko Toto* and Aiko Senda, who preside over Unmo Karacho. It is a letter book that is a joy to give and a beauty to look at.

Kira Karacho   Mica Karacho
Kira Karakacho is the successor to Japan's only karakami shop, which was established in Kyoto in 1624 and has been in business for about 400 years. Karakaji master Toto Akihiko and founding family member Chida Aiko inherited Kira Karakacho in Saga, Kyoto*, and have widely introduced the beauty of karakami to the world in a wide variety of styles, from traditional sliding doors and wallpaper to restoration of cultural properties such as temples and shrines to karakami art works. At the same time, the company has been creating products in collaboration with other materials and people other than paper, with a desire to enrich people's lives through the beauty of patterns and colors. Unmo Karacho proposes time and space for clothing, food, and shelter with its unique aesthetic sense and taste, and as the last karakami maker in Japan that has continued since the Edo period, continues to produce karakami and pass on karakami culture today.
