The glass part is made of round cut glass. Suncatchers are a type of interior decoration made of glass that transmits and refracts sunlight like a prism. They are placed near a sunny window where the morning or evening sun often shines through, and by intricately refracting the sunlight, they create a small rainbow-colored dance of light in the room for your enjoyment. There is a theory that Native Americans living on the North American continent were the first to create these lamps.
