【ジョウビ】は益子焼です。益子焼とは、1853年に栃木県益子市で開窯したのが始まりとされています。1919年から現在に至るまで、長い間民芸陶芸の中心的窯場となっています。近年では若手の作家も多く、さまざまなデザインのうつわが作陶されています。
【ジョウビ】に梅干しを入れて常温保存しておくと水分が抜けて、いい塩梅の梅に育ちます。水分が抜けるのは陶器だからこそ。呼吸ができる容器だからこそ、ニンニクケースとしても活用できます。保存できる期間はご自宅のキッチンの湿度にもよるため、こまめにチェックしてくださいね。
