| We have applied maki-e, a traditional Japanese lacquerware technique, to a locket pendant in the shape of the world's oldest known design, the katadama, which is also our company's icon. Maki-e is an elaborate handwork by craftsmen who apply several layers of lacquer and draw pictures with silver, copper, gold, etc. each time, then polish and polish them up. The current color will change to a more mellow color over the next two years. To have a newly made maki-e means to have a rare opportunity to enjoy the new color change in front of your eyes.
