We have prepared several original pots based on customer requests from our many years of experience with flowerpots. The one we produced this time is a replica from the late Meiji period, and we made a special order for a seal on the back of the pot, "Made in Dainihonkoku Seto Maruhachi", which is a very expensive item for a flowerpot. The back of the pot was glazed, which is very expensive for a flowerpot. Of course, we also considered the growth of the plants, and repeated trial and error in selecting the size of the bottom hole, the material of the pot, and the method of applying the overglaze coating, resulting in a pot with good rooting ability.
