| Dyed by traditional craftsmen of Kyoto Kanoko Shibori [tie-dyeing face mask]. This is a sustainable product that can be washed and used many times. The double-layered structure of Japanese bleached fabric is soft and gentle on the skin. The size of the elastic around the ears can be adjusted according to your preference. The back side of the mask has a pocket for a commercially available filter. (*The "Black Body Mask Filter" that we carry can also be used. [Tie-dyeing] Tie-dyeing is a technique that has been used since ancient times to create patterns on cloth. The fascinating feature of tie-dyeing is the color bleeding or blurring that is created when the cloth is dyed using techniques such as tying with thread, sewing tightly, and clamping with a board. The characteristic of tie-dyeing is that each piece is finished differently depending on the dyeing time and the way the fabric is layered. [Specialty of fabrics-Wasarashi Tokuoka]. In Wasarashi, the fabric is packed in a kettle and cooked slowly over a period of 2 to 3 days. This process does not stress the fabric, resulting in a smooth and soft finish. The fabric used for this product is "Tokuoka," which has the highest number of threads in the washi bleaching process, so it has a fine and soft texture. The more you use it, the more comfortable it becomes on your skin. Dyeing and sewing are both done in Kyoto.
