■チャクモールはメキシコ北西部からホンジュラス(中米)あたりにかけて、遺跡にて確認されている像のひとつで、“死んだ戦士”を象徴していると言われています。又、神への生贄などの供物を運ぶ存在と考えられていて、チャクモール像の上で人身御供の儀式がおこなわれたり、チャクモールのもつ皿の上に取り出された心臓が置かれたといわれています。
