Description
| Otome-iro is a light red color with yellowish tints, like the flower of a camellia japonica. No two pieces are the same, so please enjoy the change in the natural gradation of the otsuki-iro color. The size of the bowl can hold two bowls of rice, so it can be used for a variety of purposes from rice bowls to pasta. Ramen and curry dishes also look stylish, and a wide variety of dishes from Japanese, Chinese, and Western cuisine can be served with this dish. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, is the town of Setomono. Each dish is carefully fired by the craftsmen of Mugiyama Kiln, which has been in business since 1922. To strengthen the clay, the maximum temperature is raised to 1,320°C to burn off impurities remaining in the clay. Weak pieces will crack, but only those that remain are used as products. With the experience and techniques that have been developed since the Taisho era (1912-1926), we spare no pains and put our hearts into making durable vessels that can be used for a long time. [Surface] [The surface is uneven as if it were carved out of stone using a technique called ishime. The surface has a crack-like finish called "kan-iri". The surface of the stone is very smooth. Pish!] and sometimes you can hear the breathing of the vessel. [Back side] It is stamped with the Mugiyama Kiln mark. To prevent burning on the shelf, some parts of the underside are unglazed. *Because of the handmade nature of this product, there may be unevenness or variations in coloring.
