名古屋鉄道の特急形車両で、愛称は『ミュースカイ』。
車両名を公募した際に、名古屋鉄道の略称である名鉄の頭文字「M」と名鉄特急の愛称「μ」と、空港のイメージ「sky」を組み合わせ命名されたそうです。
因みに「名鉄」＝「メイテツ」と呼びます。
では「名駅」＝「メイエキ」です。
ならば「名大」＝「メイダイ」ですヨ！
