| The ECWCS parka is a thermal parka that was officially adopted in the late 1980s. It is generally called "Gore-Tex Parka" because it was made of Gore-Tex, which was a new material at that time. ECWCS stands for "Extended Cold Weather Clothing System. This is a set of a parka and a synthetic fiber innerwear/liner, This is an epoch-making clothing system that can be used in various climates by combining different types of clothing, rather than the M-65 parka, which only pursued cold-weather protection. We have produced short-length versions of the early type (1ST GEN) and the Army type with slash pockets and exposed hoods, which have been used mainly since the 1990s. |
