九頭馬×七梵字
上昇運の象徴-万事馬九
「馬」は不死の象徴、躍進の兆しを告げるともいわれ、尊ばれています。そして古く江戸時代から九頭の馬「九頭馬」はすべてのことが「万事馬九(ばんじうまくいく)」とされ、とくに(1)商売(2)出世(3)縁談(4)蓄財(5)勝負事(6)健康(7)夫婦仲(8)農漁業(9)受験−九つの運の上昇の象徴とされてきました。また「急場(九馬)を凌ぐ」などといわれています。
梵字とは仏教、とくに密教と密接な結びつきがあり、古代サンスクリット語の基礎にもなっている文字で、各仏菩薩たちをあらわしています。そして『生まれ年(干支)』によって決まる『守護尊』をあらわしたものを守護梵字といいます。この八種類の梵字にはそれぞれ一文字で御仏の功徳をあらわすとされ、干支の守り本尊とされています。
