Description
| This greeting card is made of Mino washi handmade by craftsmen, and each piece is carefully torn by hand, taking advantage of the texture of the fibers to express the fluffy fur of a dog. The torn scraps of paper are reused, and after being re-stitched, they become material for Washi Dogs again. The colored paper for the background, which is inspired by the dog's breed, is made from the first vintage of Gmund, a paper company that is active in environmental protection. The trade name, Re+g (Replag), incorporates the meanings [Re] for [recycle], [local tradition], and [rebirth], and [+] for [connect]. The development of stationery started by developing ideas from Japanese materials and traditional crafts. The first of these was the Washi dog. Each piece is made through a special process, which gives it a warmth that makes both the sender and receiver happy. The set comes with a white envelope, so it can be sent by mail.
