[TWEEDMILL] Tweedmill Textiles has been producing wool products for 40 years in the town of Denbigh, located at the northern end of the Cambrian Mountains in the north of Wales, where the Cambrian Mountains begin their southward movement. The town is surrounded by rolling mountains and a large number of sheep in a prosperous wool region, which is very well suited for sourcing wool yarns of various qualities and colors. Tweed Mill is particularly good at making large wool blankets, a technique that enhances warmth by weaving air into the fabric while creating a voluminous feel through the skillful interweaving of yarns to create a unique airy texture. イギリスはウェールズ地方北部、カンブリア山脈が南下を始める北端に位置する、デンビーという街で40年に渡りウール製品を作成するツィードミル・テキスタイル社。
回りはなだらかな山が連なり、羊毛が盛んな地方で多くの羊が飼われており、さまざまな質や色のウール糸を調達するのに非常に適している。
ツイードミル社が特に得意とするのは大判のウールブランケットで、独特の空気を多く含むように糸と糸の間をうまくからみ合わせてボリューム感を出しながら、生地の中に空気を織りこむことで保温性を高める技術である。
