| *There is a pottery in Yokkaichi Banko-yaki, Mie Prefecture, that continues to produce earthenware pots using traditional handicrafts. The pots and pans are made by hand, and the potter's personality can be felt in the pots and pans that result from his or her handiwork, such as shaving and molding the pots and painting intricate pictures.
