A tool for expressing feelings]

The form in which a congratulatory or thank-you gift is wrapped represents the personality and feelings of the sender.

It is a good friend when you feel that an envelope is too tasteless, even though it does not need a noshi (gift wrapping cloth) or mizuhiki (a traditional Japanese ribbon).

Jakuchu Ito

Born in Kyoto between 1716 and 1800 (the first year of the Kyoho era and the 12th year of the Kansei era). He studied the Kano school while working in the family's wholesale business of green goods, but at the age of 39, he handed over the reigns of the family to his younger brother, and began to devote himself to painting. While studying the ancient paintings of the Yuan and Ming dynasties and the decorative paintings of the Korin school of Japanese and Chinese painting, he also worked on sketching plants and animals, and was especially good at painting chickens. He was called "a painter of strange ideas" because of his unique style of painting. His best-known works are his "dynamic plant paintings.
