This product is a gem made with a scorching flame and skilled craftsmanship, inheriting the manufacturing process of [Edo glass], which has been designated by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry as a national traditional craft. Edo glass is a glass product made by winding glass onto a pole by hand, a process inherited from the old Edo region. Gold leaf is sprinkled on the colored lines that have been used for Edo glass since ancient times, and the transparency of the glass is expressed in shades of color. 下総の国は八千代の窯から生み出される「八千代窯」のガラス器。
この製品は、国の伝統的工芸品として経済産業大臣の指定を受けた「江戸硝子」の製法を継承し、灼熱の炎と職人に熟練の技で作り上げられた逸品です。
江戸硝子とは、職人の手によりガラスを竿に巻き取って作られる、旧江戸地域に古くから伝わる製法を継承したガラス製品です。
古くから江戸硝子に使われていた色線に金箔を散りばめ、ガラスの透明感を色の濃淡で表現しました。
