タイトルの「FRUCTUS」とは、ラテン語の「生み出す」「自然から与えられる」という意味をもち、英語では「果実」の語源とも言われる。作品集が一つ結実した形だと考え、制作原点になる自然とその造形美に対する畏敬を込めて付けられた。
益村千鶴は幼少から絵画を描きはじめ、当時観た西洋の古典絵画やシュールレアリスムへの憧憬から現在の独自な作風を確立。 低彩度の繊細な色調で、美しく切り取られた構図、静謐でシュールな洗練された独特の世界観を写実絵画で表現する。
