| *M1 is the acronym for BIG JOHN's main product number [M1002 Straight]. Like the ARCHIVE model planned for the 70th anniversary, it is based on the characteristics of M1002 of each decade. The M1 is an evolved model based on the features of the M1002 of each era, but with the essence of the modern era added to the fabric and fit. Simply put, M1 is the modern version of M1002. Denim fabric from Okayama is used in the product lineup, and each fabric has a different color fading effect. The silhouette is the SELVEDGE DENIM JACKET, a slightly tight denim jacket using 14.5oz selvedge. It is also recommended for set-up style in combination with regular straight or tight straight, depending on your favorite style. There are two types of fabrics, and one feature is that all types of selvedge fabrics are used. The selvedge jacket item has been added to the M1 series, which is currently very popular at select stores overseas. The leather labels, which are common to all types, are made of slightly thicker goatskin leather that blends well with the fabric as it ages, and the design allows for enjoyable changes over time. [GUNJO] Although it is difficult to convey in the image, the color is characterized by a color tone that would not exist in general selvedge denim. This GUNJO fabric is a modern evolution of KD-8, the first denim fabric produced in Japan. This reissued item uses a fabric that is reminiscent of the blue denim with a shallow indigo hue and reddish tint from the early 1970s, when rope-dyeing technology was still in its infancy. |
