Center for Research and Development of Higher Education* Admissions, Osaka University, ed. Details the system*strategy*operations of the [Selection of students for admission based on multidimensional*comprehensive evaluation]. The Common University Entrance Test will be administered from the 2021 entrance examination, and reform of university entrance examinations is underway. Various universities are considering and implementing [selection that is not based solely on test scores in single-point increments], and university entrance examinations are becoming increasingly complex. In order to cope with this situation, there is an urgent need for a department that specializes in research and development of university entrance examinations and for the training of specialized staff (admission* officers) with a wide range of knowledge and expertise. The Center for Research and Development of Higher Education* Admissions at Osaka University has been engaged in the "Project for the Construction of an Admission Selection Improvement System for a Shift to Multidimensional* Comprehensive Evaluation" from FY2016 to FY2021, and has started a certificate program to train experts in university entrance examinations in FY2021. In this book, we present the "new normal" of university entrance examinations in Japan by adding new discussions based on the content of the surveys* and programs under these projects. It presents concrete* applications of the history*and policies of university admissions, the situation overseas, the latest trends, the introduction of admissions publicity and DX (digital*transformation), question writing, the design of multidimensional*comprehensive evaluation, and the method of conducting document*interview screening. A must for university faculty and staff involved in university admissions and high school teachers responsible for career guidance. This book is also an opportunity to reconsider the ideal form of university entrance examinations. |
