Description
Mino ware has a history of over 1,300 years. Fudogama, located in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture, inherits the tradition of Mino ware as represented by Oribe and Shino*Kizeto, and handcrafts modern, heartwarming, and original pottery that is particular about shape, weight, feel in the hand, painting, and glaze tone, etc. ----------------------------------------------- Each mug is individually crafted by artisans using a potter's wheel. The deep and beautiful Oribe glaze (dark green) is impressive, and the white of Kohiki gives warmth to this mug. On the back side, there is an engraving of the [fu] mark of Fudogama. (Please note that there are individual differences and it may be difficult to see.) The bottom 2.5 cm of the cut cylindrical shape is covered with a matte glaze that feels smooth to the touch, and the combed accents give it a rustic feel. The mouth is slightly warped to make it easy to drink, and the thickness is adjusted by roiro crocheting in different areas to make it lightweight but difficult to break. Therefore, it is lighter than it looks and easy to use. |
