She also won the grand prix at [Miss Seventeen 2016] held by [Seventeen] magazine and became an exclusive model. Recently, Yagi has been expanding her career as an actress with a series of films in which she has appeared, and her future looks promising. This book is a collection of photographs taken over the three and a half years from the time she was 17 until now, when she turned 20. The photographs were taken by Masumi Ishida, an up-and-coming young photographer who has worked for magazines such as GINZA and POPEYE, as well as for numerous artworks, including the creative work for an advertisement for Calorie Mate. Yagi and Ishida's relationship began in December 2018 when they met during a shoot for a magazine. The two naturally sympathized with each other and deepened their friendship in their private life, taking time off from work to shoot more and more. The filming took place in Yagi's hometown of Shiga, Hokkaido (where the drama takes place), Tokyo (where he leads a new life), and at his coming-of-age ceremony, all in the style of a road movie. Yagi's natural side, which he shows only to Ishida, whom he feels comfortable with, during the intense time that only the two of them can create. Ishida's lens responds to the subtle messages Yagi conveys through her facial expressions, and through this special communication, Ishida captures the "light" within Rikako Yagi as they share a fragile but hopeful time together as she moves from her teens to her 20s, observing Yagi's complex and fluctuating emotions and changes in her state of mind. Ishida captured the "light" within Rikako Yagi in his photographs. Yagi turns 20, joins the ranks of adults, and heads toward the future. In this book of over 250 pages, Yagi's troubles, sufferings, sorrows, encounters, partings, and joys, all of her moments are captured.
