A self-confessed animal lover, her representative works include picture books [Why Cat Loves Fish] (Shinpusha), [Nikoniko Gyukyu] and [Obi to Tane] (both by Nakanishi Publishing), and a picture story show [Osaru-san] (Doshinsha). She has received numerous awards, including the Bibakarasu Award twice at the Kenbuchi Picture Book Village Grand Prize. She gives lectures all over Hokkaido and is also active as a personality on AIR-G' FM Hokkaido [Nikoniko Gyuku]. This work was produced after hearing Fuu-chan's actual story, and was shown as a video at lectures on prenatal memories, etc. It was made into a picture book in response to enthusiastic requests from various quarters. |
