Description
Folktales from Korean elementary school textbooks. The winner of the 2020 Astrid*Lindgren Memorial Prize for Literature and one of Baek*Hina, the most popular Korean author and winner of the 2020 Astrid Lindgren Memorial Prize for Literature, has created a humorous depiction of the world of Korea's famous folktales. The work is full of humor and expresses the world of Korea's famous folktales. Once upon a time, deep in the mountains, there lived a grandmother with azuki beans. The azukigayu she boiled was so delicious that she was called "azukigayu grandma" (azukigayu grandma). One day, a huge tiger came to Grandma's house and tried to eat her, saying, "Let's eat her alive! Grandmother hurriedly said, "You should eat a lot of delicious azuki-bean soup before you gobble me up," to which the tiger replied, "I will eat you up. When the winter solstice came, chestnuts, turtles, and even poop came one after another to Grandmother, who was crying as she boiled the azuki gruel*. |
