| This is a deck cap that was adopted by the Italian Navy. It is a brimless design of the U.S. military deck cap with a chin strap fastened with a button. It is a cap used as a thermal protection measure during deck work in winter, and covers the ears and collar. The outer material is cotton jungle cloth, which is also used for deck jackets and pants, and has excellent windproof properties, while the lining is made of wool to ensure heat retention.
