リューズガラス製品は、ひとつひとつが職人たちの手によるハンドメイド。炉（ろ）で溶かしたガラスを竿（さお）ですくい取り、型の中で息を吹き込みながら作る「型吹き成形」という技法で作られていますので、たとえ同じ型のシリーズであっても、全く同じ仕上がりになるということはありません。
ハンドメイドならではの、ガラス表面に生まれるわずかな“しわ”や小さな気泡、繊細な表情の違いなどをお楽しみいただけると思います。
さらにリューズガラスの風合いは、無機質な印象になりがちなガラス製品に独特のあたたかみや素朴さをもたらしてくれます。
吹きガラスならではの、やや薄くて軽い作りも魅力のひとつです。ガラスの流れや小さな気泡、口の部分に盛り上がった箇所などがあったりしますが、これは吹き竿からガラスをカットした後、熱処理した時にガラスが流れて出来るもので、これもまた吹きガラスの特徴です。
