Description
| Traditional Sometsuke and Akae (red painting) are the charm of these vessels. Each vessel is individually hand-painted. The artisans' techniques, cultivated over many years, are depicted with a spontaneous touch of the brush. Because they are hand-painted, there may be slight differences in color and pattern. Hasami-yaki is ceramics produced in Hasami-cho, Higashisonogi-gun, Nagasaki Prefecture. Hasami-cho in Nagasaki Prefecture is adjacent to Arita-cho in Saga Prefecture, and like Arita-yaki, Hasami-yaki ceramics have a tradition of over 400 years. |
