| Nakamura Toshito is one of the leading masters of Kutaniyaki porcelain in the field of miniature painting in overglaze enamels. Nakamura Toshito's representative work, "Fukurajaku," is highly acclaimed both in Japan and abroad for its delicate and gentle line drawings using mainly neutral colors and detailed design composition. The chirping of birds, the swaying of tree branches, and even the smell of the wind make us want to keep on looking at these works. A sparrow with its feathers puffed up and curled up is called a "Fukura-jaku," which can be likened to "Fukura-jaku" or "Fukurai-jaku" with auspicious characters, and is a very auspicious motif that wishes for wealth and prosperity, making it an ideal gift item. |
