At mana., we created our first product—the bamboo toothbrush—out of a desire to address these environmental issues by developing a toothbrush that combines functionality and design. Bamboo can be harvested in just three years and is gaining attention as a sustainable material due to its rapid growth and its ability to absorb more CO₂ than other plants. We are committed to the materials and production processes behind our products, using organic bamboo certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)—an international forest certification system based on principles and standards of responsible forest management, supported by consensus among stakeholders in the environmental, social, and economic sectors. The thick handle feels light and airy when held, yet is designed for a secure grip. From an animal welfare (vegan) perspective, the bristles are made of ultra-fine nylon fibers—free of BPA—rather than pig or horse hair.
