Description
Text: Mieko Shinozaki* Picture: Hiiragiichi Imamura SDGs through Picture Books Dolphins embody love and recycling Juu is a dolphin in an aquarium. He nearly died in a sea polluted by plastic waste. He was washed up on the beach, but was rescued by the aquarium staff and lives with his friends. One day, for some reason, Juu begins to hear the voices of children in a distant town. One of the children, Mio, was crying in his bed at night because he was lonely. Joo washes discarded plastic bottles at the aquarium, fills them with water, turns them into magic water, and flies to Mio. Happy to be able to help Mio, Juu delivers the magic water to those in need one after another. This is a story of the adventures of Joo the dolphin, which will encourage people to think about the SDGs. Winner of the Grand Prize of the 7th Picture Book Publication Award.
