以前は純血種犬以外は全て雑種という名前で
扱われましたが、

ミックス犬の良いところは、
断耳断尾をしないというのもあります。
純血種は仕事をするために作業に適した姿があり、
犬種特性として耳や尻尾を生まれた時に切ります。

現代では犬は仕事をすることも無くなってきましたので
耳や尻尾を切ること自体が非人道的とも言われますが、
ミックス犬は断耳断尾をしなくてすみます。
