Description
There are people all over the world living with dreams. [What is your dream?] This special book is a record of my journey to visit "dreams" around the world with a sketchbook in my hand, and together with abundant visuals from 50 countries around the world, I have created a special book. The book is composed of interviews with 33 people, a page of photos of people and dreams that we could not introduce, and five column pages inserted in between the articles, This is a visual guide that allows you to enjoy a travel guide * photo documentary * interview * essay at the same time! You can enjoy it from various angles and will surely enjoy it again and again. Comment from the publisher This is a new type of special travel guide, not many of its kind have been published. [Travel is often compared to life, isn't it? This book confirms that [travel is life]. Because, for one thing, [a journey around the world in pursuit of a dream] and [life] are made up of people's [dreams] and [hopes for the future]. In this book, the author travels around the world sewing together a patchwork of people's dreams. The author begins his journey with the assumption that "people living in foreign countries may have very different dreams from Japanese people. The author begins his journey with the assumption that "people living in foreign countries may have dreams that are completely different from those of Japanese people. Of course, there are many brand-new dreams from countries with different ethnicities and cultures, but I sometimes feel that [dreams] themselves do not change so much even if the country or race changes. Gradually, I become aware of the fact that there are people all over the world who are living their dreams, and of the people I meet on my travels. The people I met and their dreams became the energy that propelled me forward on my journey, which eventually took me to 50 countries around the world and 134 people, asking them about their dreams. (Seventy-nine of them appear in this book.) Naturally, the people we met on this journey were strangers to each other. But as the author [stitches their dreams together], they all become connected in his mind. The same can be said for the people we meet throughout our lives. There are certainly many times in life when people we meet in different places know each other, but the people who surround us are basically connected to us. When you think about it, life and travel encounters are quite similar. So this book is a must-read not only for those who want to travel the world, but also for those who are at a crossroads in their lives. I am sure that someone's [dream] will push you forward. Hiroshi Sogen Photographer*Writer Born in 1983. Born in Toyama Prefecture and currently resides in Kanagawa Prefecture.
