| [Nezumi" is a popular color during the Edo period (1603-1868), and is a shade of gray mixed with any hue due to the frugal and thrifty background of the times. Its subdued hue blends in comfortably with modern dining tables, making it a finish that can be used for a long time. It is also convenient for use by different family members. 桜鼠（さくらねず）・・・淡い紅色が灰色あるいは薄墨がかって、わずかにくすんだ薄い桜色のことです。

柳鼠（やなぎねず）・・・柳の緑色を帯びた鼠色の意で、薄い緑がかった鼠色のことです。
