Description
| Peach drop" is a superhydrophobic material with a slightly raised fabric surface like peach skin that repels water droplets in an instant when it rains. [Superhydrophobic" is generally said to mean "a phenomenon in which a drop of water comes in contact with a surface at a contact angle of approximately 150°. Peach drop] used for rain ponchos measures a contact angle of 153°, and the water repellency of the fabric keeps the surface tension of the water droplets like a ball. In addition, Peach drop is characterized by its high sustainability of water repellency. In a water repellency test conducted by a testing institute, the highest rank of water repellency, grade 5, was measured before washing. After 40 washes, Peach drop retained its grade 4 water repellency, and even after 50 washes, it maintained its grade 3 water repellency. After 50 washes, the fabric was treated with hot air and tested again for water repellency, and it recovered to the same level of repellency as after 5 washes. Even after the water repellency is degraded, the function is restored by applying heat, and the fabric can be used for a long time while maintaining its water repellency. The drawstring type storage bag is easy to put in and out, and is ideal for carrying when going out or outdoors in case of rain. 「超はっ水」とは一般的に「水滴が面に対しておおよそ150°前後の接触角で接する現象」と言われています。
レインポンチョに使用している「Peach drop（ピーチドロップ）」は接触角153°を測定し、生地の持つはっ水力で水滴が玉のような表面張力を保ちます。
さらに「Peach drop」は、はっ水性能の持続性が高いのも特徴です。
検査機関でのはっ水検査では、洗濯前のはっ水性の最高ランク5級を測定。
洗濯40回後まで4級を保持し、50回洗濯しても3級のはっ水性を持続させました。
50回の洗濯後、熱風処理をし再度はっ水検査をした所、洗濯5回後のはっ水力と同水準に回復しました。
はっ水力が落ちた後も熱を加える事でその機能が回復し、長くはっ水力を保ったままご使用いただけます。
