Every three years, the Mori Art Museum holds the "Roppongi Crossing" exhibition as a fixed-point observation of the contemporary art scene in Japan. This book is the official catalog for the 7th Roppongi Crossing 2022. It introduces 22 Japanese artists born between the 1940s and 1990s. The subtitle, "Orai Orai! expresses the desire to rekindle the traffic of people that was cut off by the Corona disaster, while reaffirming the fact that a diverse range of people*cultures coexist in Japan today, after a complex past of repeated exchanges with different cultures and people throughout history. The book also includes new photographs taken at the exhibition site, allowing visitors to experience contemporary art today as it interacts with the times. Written in both English and Japanese.
