Description
| *Art Seals [Birds and beasts among trees, flowers and plants] * By Ito Jakuchu, Edo period, Shizuoka Prefectural Museum of Art The large pieces can be used for sealing Pochibukuro, etc., and the small pieces can be easily pasted on a notebook. The stickers are holographic, so when you shine a light on them, the fine rainbow grains shine elegantly. If you have one at hand, it will surely add a touch of expression to your letters and notebooks! Jakuchu Ito Born in Kyoto between 1716 and 1800 (the first year of the Kyoho era and the 12th year of the Kansei era). He studied the Kano school while working for the family's wholesale store for produce, but at the age of 39, he handed over the reigns of the family to his younger brother, and began to devote his life to painting. While studying the ancient paintings of the Yuan and Ming dynasties and the decorative paintings of the Korin school of Japanese and Chinese painting, he also worked on sketching plants and animals, and was especially good at painting chickens. He was called "a painter of strange ideas" because of his unique painting style. His best-known works are his "dynamic plant paintings. #Jakuchu #Jakuchu #Cute Japanese painting |
