Description
Satoshi Kako, who passed away in 2018, left behind a manuscript of some 240 small stories, which he personally edited and categorized into different types of stories. These are [animal stories], [Japanese folktales], [stories in daily life], and [stories from around the world]. He edited the stories that had not yet been published in books, or that had appeared in magazines or as picture storyboards, by altering and illustrating them until just before he passed away. Each volume is full of interesting stories for children from young children who have begun to read to elementary school age, and can be read from any part of the story. Volume 8 is one of three volumes of [stories in daily life [No.3]]. Many of the stories drawn by Kako-san depict children's lives. The aim of these stories was to foster an eye for society and to solve problems through democratic discussions in line with daily life. Through her works, we can feel her hope for children to think for themselves, to expand their imagination, and to be creative in their activities. The collection includes 24 stories, including one about the old market in Kawasaki City, where Kako was involved in a settlement activity that became the starting point for her artwork, a cute story about a little girl who attends a nursery school, and various stories about the adventures and discoveries of the unique Dr. Cuckoo. [Table of Contents]. Setturu no akachan Dekkai dekkai dekkai gorilla Toki-chan no An-chan (Toki-chan's An-chan), etc. |
