Description
| Designed by French designer team [SCMP DESIGN OFFICE] out of respect for Japanese sake. The weight of the bottom of the glass was deliberately added to create a balance that makes you want to support the glass with both hands. The mouth of the glass is wide open to allow the sake to flow into the mouth without the need for an exaggerated tilt of the chin, creating a silhouette that allows for a naturally beautiful drinking gesture. All of this is made with the highest quality techniques by glass craftsmen in Tokyo. [OPTICA" means "optics" and is derived from the optical lens of a camera, which was also the inspiration for the design. The name also expresses our hope that the reflection of light created by the transparent glass and sake will allow people to experience the delicate beauty of glass and the sparkle of sake. |

あえてグラスの底面に重みを持たせることで両手で支えたくなるバランスに。そして、グラスの口を大きく開かせることで、顎を大げさに傾けなくともお酒が口に流れる、自然に美しい飲み仕草を叶えるシルエットに仕上げました。
そのすべてが東京の硝子職人による最高品質の技術で作られています。
「OPTICA(オプティカ)」とは「光学」を意味し、デザインのヒントともなったカメラの光学レンズに由来します。透明なグラスと日本酒が生み出す光の反射で、硝子本来の繊細な美しさや日本酒の持つきらめきに触れてほしいという思いも込められています。
