Gamelan is a general term for an ensemble of various percussion instruments from various parts of Indonesia, and is said to be derived from the Indonesian word "gamelan" (to beat).

There are three main styles of gamelan in Indonesia: Balinese, Central Javanese, and West Javanese (Sundanese).

The Balinese style has long been closely associated with Balinese Hindu rituals, and is an essential part of religious ceremonies such as temple festivals, weddings, and funerals.

Today, Balinese music is also widely performed as a show for tourists.

The Balinese gamelan is world famous, but in fact there are only a few workshops in Bali that can produce a proper gamelan. This gamelan was specially ordered from one of them, GONG BALI.

This simple decoration type is used by instrumentalists for practice or for festivals and other occasions where no fancy decoration is required.

The sound is in Balinese scale, and you can enjoy the Asian atmosphere.

Please refer to the bottom of the photo for a sample sound and a video of a trial performance. You can confirm the tone, key, etc. there.
