On August 15, 1946, exactly one year after the end of the war, Junichi Nakahara (1913-1983) launched his first magazine [Soreiyu], of which he was the first editor-in-chief, and went on to become a multi-creator who transcended his domain as an editor, painter, fashion designer and interior designer.

Her numerous works, which she undertook with the desire to "create books that would enable people to aspire to a beautiful life with dreams and hopes" at a time when people were struggling to live their daily lives, attracted overwhelming support from women of her time. The attitude of pursuing the essence of beauty and its expression are still fresh and have a great influence on the creators of later generations.

This book contains approximately 480 illustrations of Nakahara's work for magazines such as Soreiyu, Himawari, Junior Soreiyu, and Onna's Room, as well as her clothing, yukata, kimono, paintings, dolls, and other works, and the articles she left behind.

The exhibition will highlight the charm of Nakahara's work, which continues to shine brightly and colorfully even 111 years after her birth.
