Description
| Murasaki Sensha is a mysterious glaze that takes on completely different appearances depending on the firing temperature range* and the location within the kiln. Some potters even find themselves completely captivated by its charm. It’s recommended for dishes like chicken white soup noodles or ethnic-style noodle soups. Since it enhances the flavors of the ingredients, it’s a versatile piece of tableware suitable for uses such as salad bowls. *Tengu Kiln / Dachi, Toki City Established in the mid-Taisho period This long-established kiln traces its lineage to the Kato family of potters, who lived on the road from Seto to Dachi Town. By combining techniques such as wheel-throwing, slip casting, and hand-painting, they continue to create tableware with a unique charm. |

The glaze is often hand-worked and textured, so there may be individual differences in the finish. Because of the use of natural raw materials, the size and shape may vary slightly. Due to the raw materials and manufacturing process, iron powders (like black dots), pinholes (like small dents), and unevenness of the glaze may be found. |
