Description
| This is the first collection of Shinjiro Ogawa's works featuring scenes with trains. Ogawa has become popular on social networking sites for his depictions of scenes in front of train stations, street corners, and along train tracks, using a painting style that emphasizes a sense of perspective. His unique deformation emphasizes the highs and lows of the terrain and the curves of the train tracks, and the rickety buildings and trains give the viewer a nostalgic and warm feeling. Many of the pictures depict landscapes that incorporate a sense of seasonality typical of Japan, and the composition allows the reader to feel the changing of the four seasons as he or she turns the pages. |
