| Beautiful Chinese poetry words that make you want to read them out loud. In recent years, we have not had much exposure to Chinese poetry and Chinese literature. Chinese poetry and Chinese literature are read by reading Chinese classics in the Japanese style through kun-yomi, in which Chinese classics become Japanese classics, and furthermore, idioms and so on. The term "koki" (70 years of age) comes from Du Fu's poem, "Seventy years of life are rare. The baseball word "keien" is also derived from the Chinese phrase "the devil god respects this and keeps it away" in the Analects of Confucius. Most of the Chinese idioms and four-character phrases are derived from Chinese poems and Chinese literature. There are many Chinese poems that are often recited, and some of them, such as "Haru no nemu aruwakashi wo kakushuu" (Never wake up before dawn in spring), are often hummed. Chinese poetry, which is often thought of as lofty and formal, is actually very accessible. Using motifs of plants, animals, landscapes, and seasons, Chinese poems are filled with sentiments that we can relate to in our modern lives. When you read a passage from a Chinese poem in your spare time, you will be reminded that people in ancient China and Japan also enjoyed life, worried, and grieved in this way, and you will feel your tired, frayed feelings melt away. This book introduces Chinese poems with beautiful illustrations by Ms. Iokusatsuki, using "Beautiful Words" as a starting point so that readers can become more familiar with Chinese poems. The theme of this issue is "Seasons. We will feature 100 beautiful words and expressions from Chinese poems that describe seasonal feelings and scenes that have been a part of our daily lives since ancient times. The exhibition will introduce not only Chinese poems by Bai Le Tian, Li Bai, Du Fu, Meng Hao Ren, Wang Wei, and Fan Chengda, who represent the Tang Dynasty, but also Japanese poems by Sugawara Michizane, Natsume Soseki, and others. The sky is also called "Aoten" in spring, "Haoten" in summer, and "Binten" in autumn.
